1. Product Description

Wave, Waterfall, and Whirl are designed to clip onto the splash pan of a pottery wheel to provide convenient storage for pottery tools, sponges, and other accessories during use. The tray is manufactured using Fusion Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing technology with PLA (Polylactic Acid) plastic filament.

Intended Use: Accessory organization for pottery/ceramics work on compatible potter's wheels with splash pans (see 2. "Before Installation").

Not Intended For: Food contact, beverage holding, structural support, outdoor use, industrial use, or any purpose other than pottery tool organization.

2. Installation Instructions

Before Installation

Verify your potter's wheel splash pan is compatible with clip-style attachments
- Nidec-Shimpo VL Whisper and VL Lite
- Brent Models B, C, CXC, and IE
  - any Brent with the 17.5” splash pan
Clean both the splash pan edge and tray clips
Inspect tray for any visible damage before first use

Installation Steps

Position the tray or cup so hooks align with the splash pan edge.
Press down firmly on hook area(s) until engaged fully.
Gently tug or press to verify secure attachment.
While a tight fit is intended, do not force installation if excessive resistance is met - if clips don't engage easily, verify compatibility.

Removal

Lift tray vertically to remove.
- You may lift at the far edge to tilt the accessory off the splash pan, but this may result in accelerated wear and tear.
Do not yank or twist forcefully, as this may damage the product.

3. Proper Use Guidelines

Loading the Tray

Maximum Load Capacity: 4 pounds (1.81 kg) total weight.
Distribute weight evenly across the tray surface.
Place heavier items near the center of tray (near the splash pan).

During Use

Do not allow water to pool in tray for extended periods of time.
Do not lean on or use tray for physical support
Keep tray clear of wheel head and rotating components

Pottery trimming tools
Ribs and scrapers
Sponges (wrung out)
Small glaze bottles
Wire tools
Calipers and measuring tools

Items NOT Suitable

Containers too large to fit on the tray surface (glaze, wax resist, etc.)
Heavy clay blocks or portions
Sharp objects pointing upward or exceeding the dimensions of the tray.
Hot items or materials
Anything exceeding 4 lb load limit
Food or beverages

4. Care & Maintenance

Cleaning

Hand wash only with mild soap and warm water (not exceeding 120°F/49°C)
- PLA may soften when exposed to heat for too long.
Use soft cloth, sponge, or soft brush - avoid abrasive scrubbers (metal)
Clean after each use to extend usable lifespan.
Do NOT place in dishwasher.
Do NOT use harsh chemicals, cleaners, solvents, or alcohol-based cleaners.

Storage

Store in cool, dry location away from direct sunlight
Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 140°F (60°C)
Do not store under heavy objects that may deform the tray
Keep away from heat sources (kilns, space heaters, radiators)

Inspection

Regularly inspect clips for cracks, wear, or damage
Check tray for warping or structural weakness
Discontinue use if any damage is observed
Replace unit if hooks no longer grip securely

Material Properties - PLA Plastic

PLA is a biodegradable thermoplastic derived from renewable resources. While derived from organic material, plasticizers and colors make it unsuitable for home composting.

Other important characteristics:

Heat Sensitivity: Softens around 140°F (60°C), deforms around 160°F (70°C)
UV Degradation: Prolonged sun exposure may cause brittleness
Moisture Sensitivity: Extended water exposure may cause gradual degradation

5. 7-day Replacement Policy

7-Day Replacement

Lazissey will, at its discretion, replace a product which arrives in damaged condition at time of delivery, up to 7 days after date of delivery.

Replacement Remedy

At our sole discretion, we will either:

Replace the product with the same model
Refund the original purchase price (excluding shipping)

6. Warranty Information

30-Day Limited Warranty

Lazissey warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Proof of original purchase is required to make a warranty claim.

Commercial Usage

This product is intended for personal use by individual artists and hobbyists only. Use in commercial production facilities, rental studios, educational institutions, or any other commercial or industrial setting is not covered under this warranty.

What is covered

Manufacturing defects in the 3D printing process
Structural failures under normal use within load specifications
Clip mechanism failure due to manufacturing defect

What is NOT covered

Damage & Misuse

Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, accidental drops, or improper handling
Damage caused by exceeding the product's stated load limit
Damage resulting from unauthorized modification or alteration of the product

Wear & Environment

Normal wear and tear over the course of regular use
Damage caused by exposure to excessive heat, moisture, or UV light
Discoloration, surface finish changes, or color variation from environmental exposure

Cosmetic Issues

Minor layer lines, surface texture variations, or other aesthetic characteristics inherent to the FDM 3D printing process that do not affect function

User Error & Compatibility

Improper installation or use inconsistent with provided instructions
Damage resulting from use with incompatible wheel models or accessories

External Causes

Damage caused during shipping after original delivery (covered separately under the 7-Day Replacement Policy)
Damage caused by third parties or events outside Lazissey's control

Commercial Usage

Use in commercial production facilities, rental studios, educational institutions, or any other commercial or industrial setting

Actions That Void This Warranty

Exposure to temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C)
Excessive water or moisture exposure beyond normal use
Use for purposes other than pottery tool organization
Failure to follow installation or usage instructions
Installation on incompatible equipment
Repair attempts or modifications by unauthorized persons
Continued use after visible damage or wear is observed
Removal of any identification labels or markings

Limitation of Implied Warranties

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the 30-day warranty period stated above.

Exclusion of Consequential and Incidental Damages

Lazissey is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this product, including but not limited to property damage or loss of time.

State Law Rights

Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of implied warranties, or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Warranty Remedy

At our sole discretion, we will either:

Replace the product with the same or comparable model
Refund the original purchase price (excluding shipping)

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Contact us using the contact form at Lazissey.com within the 30-day limited warranty period
Provide proof of purchase (receipt, order number, etc.)
Provide photos clearly showing the defect
Describe the issue and circumstances of failure
If approved, follow provided instructions for return or replacement

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

NOT FOR FOOD CONTACT: This product is not food-safe and should never be used to hold food or beverages
NOT A TOY: Keep away from children under 5 years of age (small parts if broken)
NOT STRUCTURAL: Never use as step stool, seat, or weight-bearing support
FIRE HAZARD: Keep away from open flames, kilns, and heat sources - PLA is flammable.
TEMPERATURE LIMITS: Do not expose to temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C). PLA will warp if exposed heat while under load.
LOAD LIMITS: Exceeding 4 lb maximum load may cause product failure or damage and injury or property damage.
SHARP OBJECTS: Exercise caution when storing sharp pottery tools - arrange safely to prevent injury.

Material Safety

PLA plastic may release fumes if heated excessively or burned
Dispose of properly - do not incinerate.
PLA is derived from organic materials and is not as resistant to the elements as other plastics like PETG and ABS. Wear and tear will occur over time, and may diminish performance.
Do NOT submerge in water for extended periods of time. PLA is susceptible to degradation when exposed to excessive levels of moisture.

Proper Installation Required

Improper installation may result in tray detachment during use
Verify secure attachment before each use
User is responsible for ensuring compatibility with their specific wheel model

8. Limitation of Liability

Except as expressly stated in the Limited Warranty above, Lazissey makes no additional warranties, express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to:

Implied warranties of merchantability
Implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose
Warranties regarding compatibility with all potter's wheel models

Assumption of Risk

By using this product, you acknowledge and agree that:

You assume all risks associated with installation and use
You are responsible for determining product suitability for your specific wheel and needs
You will follow all instructions and safety guidelines
You have inspected the product for damage before use

Limitation on Damages

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LAZISSEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Any injury to persons or property resulting from use or misuse of this product
Damage to potter's wheel, splash pan, or other equipment
Loss of pottery work, materials, or business income
Consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages
Any damages exceeding the original purchase price of the product

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (negligence, strict liability, breach of warranty, etc.) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

State Law Rights

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Legal Notes

This document constitutes the entire agreement between Lazissey and the purchaser regarding this product. It supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Illinois.

If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

Lazissey reserves the right to update these terms at any time. The version current at time of purchase governs that transaction.
